Guitar Digital Nut Slotting Gauge – Slight Arc Copper Base and Easy Battery Access

Category: Brand:

Introducing our highly practical Digital Nut Slotting Gauge for steel-string guitars. Designed to simplify and streamline the process of measuring string clearance over the first fret, this tool allows you to cut nut slots with precision and confidence.

Built for regular workshop use, the gauge delivers reliable, repeatable measurements. A protective plastic case is included to keep the tool safe during storage and transport.

The slight arc copper base naturally rests over the strings at the first fret, while the precision plunger gently contacts the top of the string. To take a reading, simply zero the gauge by pressing the “0” button. Then press the string down on both sides of the first fret until it contacts the fret. The display instantly shows the exact clearance that existed between the string and the fret.

The clear digital readout can be switched between metric (mm) and imperial (inch) measurements. With resolution down to .0005″ (0.01mm), the gauge provides the accuracy required for professional nut work, without the need for manual conversions.

Convenience was also a priority in the design. The top-access battery compartment allows for quick battery replacement without the need for screwdrivers. One LR44 battery is included and ready to use.
